Artwalk : Public art in St. Boniface
Welcome / Bienvenue !
Explore St Boniface with the Winnipeg Arts Council, discover what the public art and local monuments reveal about the history of the area on our 1.5-hour walking tour (1.2km). The tours will be conducted in English, but our guide will be happy to respond to questions or engage in additional discussion in French.
This tour will meet at Phare Ouest on the Tache Promenade (directly across from St. Boniface Museum).
We will visit public artworks, monuments, and landmarks, including:
- Phare Ouest by Marcel Gosselin
- Legacy of Care, Courage and Compassion by Madeleine Vrignon
- Grandfather Rock and symbolic sweat lodge
- À tous vents, by Madeleine Vrignon
- Louis Riel by Marcien Lemay
- Monument by Michel de Broin
- Curiosité by Francis Montillaud
- La Promise by Madeleine Vrignon
- Volte by Marcel Gosselin
- Entre Chien et Loup by Joseph Fafard
The tour will end at Jardin de Sculptures (219 Provencher Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R2H 0G4). Guests are encouraged to explore all the great artwork in the Maison des Artistes or explore the rest of Franco Jeudi Thursdays! Tours will run as scheduled rain or shine but will be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm.

Accessibility: Tour is wheelchair accessible; however road and sidewalk conditions may vary. Facilities will be available at 219 Provencher towards the end of the tour.
